演題:Hair Transplantation in Cicatricial Alopecia
Hair loss from diseases or isolated events might result in patients’ extreme discomfort and mental conflict.
Major approaches for cicatricial alopecia have been scar revision with / without a tissue expander & flaps and hair transplantation had been rarely performed because many colleagues have the apprehension of decreased donor
hair survival in tissue with limited blood supply. However, modern hair transplantation is also very effective for cicatricial alopecia and good results could be obtained with appropriate techniques.
Cases are presented and the strategies of hair transplantation into the scar tissue will be discussed and the keys for achieving optimal results are summarized as follows: Evaluate that scar is not in inflammatory process but dormant.
Use exclusively follicular unit graft.
Use lower concentration of epinephrine in tumescence.
Avoid dense packing.
Make acute angled incision in atrophic scar.
Use longer interval between sessions.
